The Leighton Solution.

Leighton provided geotechnical and seismic studies for use by the design team. Construction required lowering the groundwater 15 feet during excavation of the basement and driving the 1,500-pile foundation system.

Leighton provided shoring alternatives that resulted in at least a $2 million savings in excavation and basement wall construction costs. Using the results of the indicator pile program reduced the pile length by more than 10 percent and shortened the original pile driving schedule by more than one month.
