August 2015: Leighton engineering geologist Robert Stroh attended the grand opening of the City’s newest park, and the first in downtown since Petco’s Park at the Park, Fault Line park.  He is part of Leighton’s team which provided a fault study, geotechnical engineering, and testing services for the park and the 46-story residential tower.

This is a unique city block site, with the Rose Canyon Fault running from corner to corner. The park was developed through a public-private partnership, with the developer and Civic San Diego and includes children’s play equipment, grassy open space, public art, an intimate garden, and seating areas. The fault is identified and celebrated with a walkway through the middle of the park and an interactive public art piece.
