SR 76 East Project

The Project.

This phase of the project included major improvements to the I-15/SR-76 interchange including improvements to existing on- and off-ramps and the addition of two loop on-ramps to I-15, to improve traffic operations and efficiency. Leighton also worked on the first segment, which was completed in 1999.

Project Fact:

The SR76 East Project is the final segment in a series of three improvement projects to the SR 76 corridor located between I-15 and I-5, taking a two-lane undivided highway to four lanes.

The Leighton Solution.

Leighton, as a subconsultant, provided quality assurance special inspection, materials testing, and geotechnical testing on task-orders from a three-year SANDAG IDIQ Professional and Technical Construction Management and Engineering Services contract.

On this task order, Leighton provided acceptance testing in support of Caltrans D11 staff. A Leighton engineering technician performed on site acceptance testing to verify Quality Assurance Testing in accordance with the Material Control Schedule, for soil and concrete.
