The Leighton Solution.

Charter Oak High School (the District’s only 9-12 school) has two new buildings and a new aquatic center with a National Federation of High School Associations regulation pool. The first building project on campus was a 15,000-square-foot addition to the gymnasium, followed by another classroom building.

For both of these projects, Leighton provided a geotechnical investigation and geo hazards review, and soils and materials testing. For the gymnasium addition, Leighton provided a subsequent foundation review which included recommendations for the excavation to maintain structural integrity of the existing building. The aquatic center completion added a 30-meter by 25-yard swimming pool for water polo, diving and swimming, and ancillary building for concessions, restrooms, a team room, and an equipment/storage room.
