The Leighton Solution.

Due to the soil conditions and potential for extreme heat during construction, Leighton provided recommendations for concrete mixture to reduce cracking and shrinking.

Sustainable practices included solar panels on carports and pervious pavement which was placed directly over a 3.5-foot-deep underground basin consisting of gravelly material to allow for storage of infiltrated water.

Leighton also performed geotechnical observation and materials testing services during construction. Earthwork involved off-site utility and roadway construction, conventional pavement, and pervious pavement. Our field personnel provided full-time observation and testing of backfill placement, and observed footing excavations before reinforcing steel was placed, and observation and testing of subgrade, base, concrete (PCC), and asphalt placement.
